Welcome to the
Summer Immersion Program Application!
The Summer Immersion Program (SIP) is a FREE, 7-week summer program for 10th–11th grade girls (rising juniors and seniors) to learn computer science, gain exposure to tech jobs, and join a supportive sisterhood of thousands of girls across the US.
ABOUT THE APPLICATION:
This application is meant to be completed by the student, and takes approximately 20-30 minutes. The application is divided into 7 sections or "tasks." You'll need to go through each task in order, and once you mark each task as complete, you won't be able to change your answers - so make sure you read each question carefully.
Within the application, you can see the list of tasks in the top-left corner of the screen (you may need to scroll down the list to see all the tasks). This application asks for personal information and includes one short-answer question; Girls Who Code does not ask for grades or letters of recommendation.
To apply, select "Register" in the top right corner of this screen to create your application account. You'll receive an email asking you to verify your email address. Once you've done so, you'll be able to start the application! (If you are re-applying this year and already have an application account, you'll have the option to just reset your password. Please note that SIP alumni are not eligible to participate a second time.)
If you need to take a pause at any point, you can save your application by clicking "Save and Continue," and return later to finish the application. Your application will be complete once you review and then submit it. We'll send you an email to confirm we've received it.
